Ritwik Ghatak's daughter, Samhita Ghatak passes away

Samhita Ghatak, elder daughter of filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak, passed away early morning on Monday. She was 60. Her husband said, “On Sunday night Samhita complained of uneasiness and went off to sleep by 9.30-10 pm. Monday morning, after I woke up, I went to her room but there was no response. Seeing her unresponsive, the doctor asked me to rush her to the hospital where I was told, she passed away early morning following a mild heart attack,” said Samhita’s husband, a distraught Subrata Sarkar.
Samhita who was associated with all works of Ritwik Ghatak, was also working on a lot of new projects.We offer her family our heartfelt condolences.
