‘Rong Beronger Kori’ first look poster: Film to release on 23rd March

Director Ranjan Ghosh's next venture ‘Rong Beronger Kori’ has finally got a release date. Eros Now, which bankrolls the film, took to Twitter to announce the release date as 23rd March and also unveiled the first look poster.
The upcoming family drama featuring Soham Chakraborty, Arunima Ghosh, Rituparna Sengupta, Ritwick Chakraborty and Arjun Chakraborty in lead roles, has Aparna Sen as the creative adviser.
‘Rong Beronger Kori’ reportedly revolves around the daily struggles of people living in Bengal's remote areas.The social drama courted unwanted controversy because of the two characters in the film. A Hindu religious group alleged that the film was disrespecting religious beliefs. An organization named ‘Hindu Jagaran Mancha’ protested against the tribal couple characters played by Soham and Arunima. The characters are named as Raam and Sita, who eventually get divorced. The religious group demanded the lead character's names be changed as it showed Raam and Sita's characters getting divorced which may hurt Hindu sentiments.
