Rudranil Ghosh was all set to direct his first film in 2020, but couldn’t because of the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. This year, the actor is all set to don the director’s hat just before
Durga Puja. When asked about it, Rudranil said, “I was supposed to direct my film in 2020 but everything went haywire because of the pandemic. Now, when things are slowly getting normal, I plan to start directing my film.”
What is the storyline of the film, we ask.
“I am not going to reveal the storyline but the film is about a common man’s struggle to survive. It is a story about people like you and me and our daily struggle. I am not going to act in this film. And I want to cast an actor with great acting skills as the film needs a potential actor. Basically, I want an actor who will be himself and not act in front of the camera,” said the actor who will be in Mumbai in February to shoot for Maidaan.
Rudranil is also part of Srimanta Sengupta’s film, Bochor Kuri Por, besides
Abir Chatterjee, Tnusree Chakraborty and Arpita. “The story is about friendship and age is not an issue when it comes to celebrating friendship,” said the actor, who is also part of Atanu Ghosh’s next film, which revolves around the life of a performer.
