Rwitobroto Mukherjee, son of popular actor
Shantilal Mukherjee, is regarded as one of the most promising actors among the young brigade of Bengali industry. In
Kaushik Ganguly’s Puja release ‘Kishore Kumar Junior’, he plays the son of
prosenjit Chatterjee, who will be seen as a ‘copy’ singer. Rwitobroto’s first film was Sujay Ghosh’s ‘Kahani’ in 2012 in which he was seen as the running hot water boy. Since then he has worked under renowned directors Arindam Sil and Anindya chatterjee, played the lead in Kaushik Kar’s recent ‘Pornomochi’.
While elaborating on his character in ‘Kishore Kumar Junior’, the talented actor said it was dream come true for him acting with Prosenjit Chatterjee. "In this film I do respect my father but can’t accept the fact that he is just a ‘Konthi’ singer and doesn’t have his own identity. As the film progresses my character turns out to be the mirror of my father. But I must say sharing screen with a legend like Prosenjit Chatterjee was a dream come true experience. Not only his own part, he goes through the entire script and helps his co-actors a lot. His dedication is really respectable." said Rwitobroto.
‘Kishore Kumar Junor’ is slated to release on October 12.
