'Sonar Pahar' trailer touches a milestone

Only a few days ago the trailer of Parambrata Chatterjee's next directorial ‘Sonar Pahar’ was released on social media. As soon as the trailer hit the internet, it gained a huge round of applause from the audience.
The expectations are quite high, especially with such an ensemble cast. Starring Tanuja, Jisshu Sengupta, Parambrata Chatterjee and a cute child actor, the trailer promises to narrate a soul-stirring story of emotional bonding and a unique friendship between an old woman living in an old Kolkata house and a visiting little boy.
The trailer touched viewer's hearts and the views kept on increasing. Now it has passed a landmark of 100K views on Youtube and it is still counting. Watch the trailer here:

According to reports, ‘Sonar Pahar’ is reportedly inspired by Parambrata’s once-strained relationship with his mother, famous film critic and columnist Sunetra Ghatak.
Jisshu has been cast as Uma’s son Soumya in this family drama. As per the narrative, the mother-son relationship is somewhat strained due to many issues. One day Soumya’s close friend Rajdeep (Parambrata) visits Uma with a little boy Bittu, and Uma develops a special bond with the seven-year-old child.
