Sumit's first nude scene

Sumit Thakur, the actor from ���������Madly Bangalee��������� and���������Moner Manush���������, had been a last-minute choice for a mad man inVimukthi Jayasundara���������s ���������Mushrooms���������. But never in his wildestdreams had Sumit been able to foresee his plight while having to playone.
The director had instructed his unit to get the costumesof a real mad man.Forget understanding anything about costumes, convincing alunatic about what a film is all about is a Herculean task in itself. Finally, alunatic agreed to part with his clothes. But when he got the set of new clothes,he got upset and pelted stones in return to the unit!
If peltingstones was a problem, wearing the clothes wasn���������t easy either. ���������Theclothes were stinking of sweat and urine. I was scared that I���������d get a skindisease,��������� says Sumit.
Another experience that Sumit will notforget in a hurry was the first nude scene of his life which he shot for thefilm. ���������Though I was running a high temperature, while swimming in coldwater I found it very liberating. It is about time we treat it as a normal thingand not take it as a selling point of a film,��������� the actoradds.
Sumit isn���������t bothered that he is the second choice for thefilm. As a parting shot, he says, ���������My friend, Anubrata, is in this filmand he recommended my name when there was a search for a replacement of Rahul.I���������m content with my experience. Now, I want to travel a bit and dotheatre. Of course, I���������d be happy if other film offers come myway.���������
