This morning, actress
Bidipta Chakraborty posted a picture of her along with
Tabu and
Saswata Chatterjee on social media and wrote: Many moons back..Colleagues who are friends forever (sic)
When CT asked Bidipta about her association with Tabu, she shared, “We are friends for the past 22 years. In 2002, we shot for the film Abar Aranye. We went to north Bengal and were there for a month for the film’s shoot.
Friendships used to be much purer back then. So, I guess the bonding which grew between us then is still there. Tabu is a gem of a person and it is she who keeps in touch with us. Whenever she comes to Kolkata, she is the one who visits our house with loads of gifts for both my daughters. She even called me after my father passed away. This particular picture was taken at Ronny’s (Rajatava Dutta) place when Tabu was shooting for Namesake in Kolkata. We had met at Ronny’s place for an adda session. Today, while organising my wardrobe, I found this heartwarming picture and thought of posting it.”
Bidipta just completed shooting for Abhijit Das’s film Bijoyar Pore. “The dubbing of the film is still left to be done. I also play an important character in Rahul’s debut film Kolkata 96 in which
Sohini Sarkar and
Ritwick Chakraborty play the leads. I have shared the screen with Rahul before and I am looking forward to now being directed by him,” said Bidipta.
