His Gandu has been the toast of international festivals. And with his next, Q is set for a repeat. Tasher Desh is the only Indian movie to have been selected in the competition section of the Rome International Film Festival so far. Qs partner, Rii, who plays Horotoni in the film a card character from Tagores text is happy with the selection.
Its been happening for quite some time now, but we only came to know about it recently. The good part is that the festival will screen some of the best films from across the world. Films by directors
Takashi Miike will be there these are the directors we have looked up to and now we get to share the same space, she says.
Ask her about Qs response and the actress says, He is obviously very happy. But there are other things that are keeping him immensely busy. The film is still in its initial stages and Q needs to shoulder the responsibility of screening it and even promoting it through interviews post-screening.
Both Q and Rii will be leaving for Rome early November. We have a fairly big cast and sadly, not everyone will be able to make it. But hopefully, I will be there, she says.
