The poster of Soumik Sen's Mahalaya is out

The poster of Mahalaya directed by Soumik Sen has created a lot of curiosity among the audience. The poster which features Subhashish Mukherjee and Jisshu U Sengupta on an old newspaper in the background is praised by all. It is a story of 1976, where Uttam Kumar replaced Birendra Krishna Bhadra in Mahisasurmardini that's aired on Mahalaya on radio. It created a huge outrage among the audience as Birendra Krishna’s Sanskrit recitation was so famous. “The poster idea was by Bumba da (Prosenjit Chatterjee) and I am getting a lot of positive feedback from it as it is generating a lot of nostalgia among the audience,” said the director. He added, “I feel Subhashish da should have got meaty roles after Herbert but sadly not many scripts or roles are written keeping them in mind. It was lovely working with Subhashish da and Jisshu.”
