This weekend has been pleasantly busy for actress
Payel Sarkar. For the past few weeks, she’s been cooking foods at home for the people in distress and then driving down to city’s various localities to distribute meals to those who have been hungry ever since cyclone Amphan rattled the city.
Like many other celebrities in town including
Rudranil Ghosh, Parmabrata Chattopadhyay and
Indraadip Dasgupta feeding the people in distress in Kolkata and beyond, Paayel who is also a social worker has utilized this lockdown period to extend her help to those whom it matters the most.
Payel has been a part of popular TV serials like Tapur tupur, Valobasa.com, Netaji, Ekhane akash neel, Mohaprabhu shree krishna and Resham jhapi. The actress also did a film titled ‘Polatok’.
Meanwhile, the actress is getting ready to release her book ‘Bastob - wanted reality 2020’ within one month. Death is both fascinating and scary. It is the last mystery of life and largely remains unknowable until your time comes. Despite massive advancements in science and technology, the age-old question of what happens after you die is still without answers. That’s what motivated actress Payel Sarkar to write a book on this subject.
