In 2015, Bengali cinema rather Indian cinema saw for the first time the release of a film, Tota Roy Choudhury-starrer Shapath, online and in the theatres simultaneously. Now, we hear that the film will get a sequel, titled Agneeshapath, and it will be directed by Anindya Sarkar. Confirming the news, Tota said, “Shapath was a runaway hit that time and now the producers have decided to make a sequel.

This time, the film is being made on a larger scale. The story is not on the same lines. Only the characters from the earlier film are taken forward in this story. This film is high on action and famous fight director Vikram Mor from south is on board to design the fight sequences. Talks are on with Barkha Sengupta and Priyanka Sarkar to play the female lead.”
Tota is learning to master urban combat training. “I guess, in Tollywood, urban combat training is a first-of-itskind fight sequence. The audience will get to see me doing stunts based on this training,” informed Tota. Talking about his character, the actor said, “I play Ronodeep — an upright police officer. This time too we will try for a theatrical and online release at the same time.”
The film will go on floor from March end and will be shot in Kolkata and Jharkhand.
