Two films for Puja 2020!

Two films have already been announced for Puja 2020. The makers of Byomkesh announced their next based on Durgo Rahasya after this year’s Satyanweshi Byomkesh. And now, Srijit Mukherji too has opened up on his next movie. He has already made two Kakababu films — Mishawr Rawhoshyo and Yeti Obhijaan. And now, the third instalment of Kakababu is set to arrive.Taking to social media, director Srijit shared the film’s teaser and wrote: Puja 2020. The movie, Kakababur Protyaborton, is based on Sunil Ganguly’s adventure novel, Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel.
The story revolves around Raja Roy Chowdhury aka Kakababu and his nephew, Santu, who go to Nairobi, Kenya, for a relaxed trip. There, they get hosted by a Bengali couple, Amal and Manju. He also gets an invite from an Africa-based Indian businessman and his partner to visit their hotel inside Maasai Mara forest. A few days before their arrival, some German tourists go missing from the hotel. What happens next sums up the story of the film.
Srijit, whose Gumnaami on the disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose released this Puja, was supposed to shoot Kakababu last year. But the film was pushed back and the director started work on Gumnaami. Srijit, who completed the shoot of Dwitiyo Purush recently, will begin the film soon. A large part of Kakababur Protyaborton will be shot in Kenya and will see Prosenjit Chatterjee in the title role and Aryann Bhowmik as Santu. Prosenjit played the lead in Gumnaami as well. Durgo Rahasya, on the other hand, stars Parambrata Chatterjee as Byomkesh and Rudranil Ghosh as his writer friend, Ajit.
