Even at his age, the ultimate Disco Dancer, Mithun Chakraborty, with his pelvic thrusts, can still give any youngster a run for his money. And it was one of those proud moments for his son Mimoh, when the superstar dropped in to show him a few dance moves on the sets of Sujit Mondol's Rocky. Produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, the movie sees Mimoh and Mithun coming together for the first time on screen.

The father-son duo shot for the title track of the film in Mumbai last week. The song, which has been composed by Jeet Gannguli, has Mudassar Khan of Character dheela hai, Dhinka chika, Humka pini hai and Pandeyji mare seeti fame choreographing it.
'I have a busy schedule but it was only because of Shrikant (Mohta) that I had to agree and shake a leg with Mimoh for the introductory scene of Rocky. And trust me, I was equally scared to be with my son in the same frame. I think he is a far better dancer than me. Though Mithun Chakraborty has his own style but times have changed now. I wanted to be sure that I am at par with Mimoh as he is 100 times ahead of me. Mudassar, I feel, has done a commendable job. The other day when I was talking to him over the phone about the shoot and the choreography, the young boy seemed a little nervous but I assured him that he needed't worry; his wish was my command,' smiled Mithun, who is back in Kolkata to shoot for a dance reality show.
Now that they've already shot for the song, Mimoh still can't forget the experience. 'Dad is the real Disco Dancer. I was in a daze while shooting with Baba. It was unnerving when dad kept asking me whether his steps were okay. I realized Baba was just being modest. Mudassar, who has choreographed most of Salman Khan's hit numbers, has made this title track look smart and trendy. The dance steps are not at all difficult and the aam janta can easily match steps. I'm sure the moves will be very popular among the audience,' recalled Mimoh.
Mudassar, who made the father-son duo dance together for the first time, is over the moon. 'I am well aware that choreography in Bengali films has improved a lot. I have grown up watching Mithunda's dance steps. It was a huge honour to be able to choreograph something for him. Mithunda has been extremely supportive. Initially, I had decided to keep the disco style for him and hip hop for Mimoh. But once I saw Mithunda's energy level, I changed my mind! Now I've used a mix of everything ' hip hop, freestyle, Bolly tadka and so on. Mimoh loves dancing and that reflects in his moves. Both father-son rock,' informed Mudassar.
