The first song from Pradipta Bhattacharya’s 'Rajlokhi O Srikanto', 'Amar Bhul Hoe Gyachhe Priyo', is out now and Anirban Das’ composition and lyrics make it a soothing one. Also, the husky voice of Timir Biswas brings freshness to the simple composition.
The video song featuring Ritwick Chakraborty, Jyotika Jyoti and the actors playing their younger selves is the main strength in this minimalist composition.

Above all, it carries Pradipta Bhattacharya’s signature style of using simple forms to convey serious messages.
Nature plays the carrier of the protagonists Srikanto and Rajlokhi’s shared happiness, which is still there, but they can’t cross the rift between them. Srikanto isn’t lip-syncing the song, rather the more importance on nature suggests that the lovers are enjoying to the song of love they once gifted to nature.
Anirban Das has beautifully maintained the raw texture of Timir’s voice with a small strumming of guitar by Soumyadipta Ray and it syncs with the visuals beautifully.
'Rajlokhi O Srikanto' will release on 20 September.
