‘Debi’: Anupam Roy delivers a love ballad ‘Du Mutho Bikel’

Renowned singer-lyricist, Anupam Roy has lent his soulful voice to the latest song from ‘Debi’ which is actress Jaya Ahsan’s first film as a producer. The romantic number ‘Du Mutho Bikel’ is penned, composed and sung by Anupam himself. The melodious love balad portrays the cozy moments between the film’s protagonists Ranu (Jaya Ahsan) and Anis (Animesh Aich).

Only a few days ago, the national award-winning singer shared a video message on social media saying: “Humayun Ahmed is one of my favourite writers.Since ‘Debi’ is an adaptation of his much loved ‘Misir Ali’ series, I am really looking forward to this film. Actor Jaya Ahsan is also a very good friend of mine and that’s why I decided to work in this film without a second thought. The teaser and the visual of this song have made it clear that I didn’t make a wrong decision.”
‘Debi’ is based on Humayun Ahmed’s famous literary work ‘Misir Ali’ series. Chanchal Chowdhury will be seen as the fictional character. Misir Ali is a time-tested character introduced by Humayun Ahmed who deals in science and logic. Animesh Aich, Iresh Zaker and Sabnam Faria will also play important roles.
