Guitar E Robi pays tribute to Tagore

A bunch of young musician came together to pay their respects to Rabindranath Tagore through Guitar E Robi II, the second instalment of an annual event organized by Sumit Nandi.
The idea was born quite simply. Around April, that is, about a month before Pochishey Boishakh, Rabindranath Tagore's birthday last year, few musicians came together to collaborate in creating a medley of songs by Tagore.Last year the event consisted of live unplugged performances. This year, a new medley was recorded, for which a video was also shot, which was released online on the bard's birthday. The track was released by Cactus frontman Sidhu.
The medley also marks the debut of Ustad Rashid Khan's daughter Shaona Khan in the professional music scene of Kolkata. Apart from her, the other who colaborated for the medley are Soumyodeep [Prachir], Iman Sen [Calcutta Blues], Shamik Chakraborty [Stagekraft], Taniya Chatterjee, Bidisha Roy, Diya Bhattacharya and Clara Gomes.
