In a recent album launch in the city, musicians and artistes commemorated the Language Movement in Barak Valley, Assam, which took place in 1961.

In a recent album launch in the city, musicians and artistes commemorated the Language Movement in Barak Valley, Assam, which took place in 1961.
The event was organized by folk band, Dohar. Singers Saugato Kundu and Tapolobdha Bhattacharya amazed the audience with their song Ami moloye batashe bheshe jaabo, while folk band Paridhi crooned Aami Banglar gaan gayi and other numbers.
