At a recent musical evening to usher in the Bengali New Year, singer Jayati Chakraborty released her album Rabir Gaan O Nibedita in the presence of Bengali filmmaker Raja Sen, musician Kalyan Sen Barat, veteran musician Pratap Roy, Sweta Gupta and others. It was followed by a musical performance by Jayati Chakraborty and several other singers. Jayati said, "I was bit nervous when I heard that I have to play Sister Nivedita in this project. I kept on listening to her old voice recordings in order to make it sound perfect. Debesh Thakur did the research work for this album. I even tried narration besides singing a few songs like Boshe achhi hey, Tahare arati kore, Je keho more diyechho shukh and so on. It also comprises one song Nahi surya nahi jyoti composed by Swami Vivekananda."
