Tagore reinterpreted through ragas, classical dance and narration

Rabindrasangeet is a fusion of Tagore's music, poems and also ragas. Ronge Raage Robi, held at a club recently, highlighted the confluence of genres in Rabindrasangeet.
The original raga was presented by Iman Das in the form of kheyals and thumris, along with Rabindranath's interpretation of these by Maitreyee Chakraborty. Sohini Chatterjee also interpreted the songs through Odissi and Swagata Chatterjee through Bharatnatyam.Oindrilla Dutt strung together all the elements through her narration.
