Upal, Anindya, Debashree join candle-lit protest rally against NRS Hospital incident

City dog lovers, including celebs like Upal Sengupta, Anindya Chatterjee, Debashree Roy, Paroma Bandopadhyay and others, took out a candle-lit rally on Thursday evening to protest against the gruesome killing of 16 puppies at the city’s NRS Medical College and Hospital recently. They walked from Rabindra Sadan to Allen Park, Park Street between 6 pm and 7.30 pm in the silent procession.“I definitely oppose the brutality with which the puppies were killed, but yes, if the hospital authorities had nipped the problem of stray dogs in the bud, things wouldn’t have come to such a pass,” Paroma Bandopadhyay told us.
