Last Friday, two Hollywood biggies 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' hit the screens and the audience has been divided over the ‘Barbenheimer’ clash. Seemingly confused with the clash, a theatre in India ended up with a 'Oppenheimer' and 'Barbie' crossover!
A Twitter user posted a picture of
Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer featuring Cillian Murphie, while Barbie subtitles played on.
‘Barbenheimer’ happening in real life! He wrote, “Friend of my cousin posted on insta that a cinema played Oppenheimer with Barbie subtitles.” This tweet soon went viral, with netizens reacting to the hilarious error. “This means that the same theatre, in another show, played Oppenheimer subtitles in a Barbie show,” read one tweet. Another user commented, “When you want both to be first on your watchlist.” Giving a shout out to the theatre, a user wrote, “Kudos to the theatre for carrying the #Barbenheimer meme right up to the big screen.”
Margot Robbie and
Ryan Gosling essay Barbie and Ken in this Greta Gerwig directorial. It traces Barbie’s adventures in the real world. Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ is a biographical thriller on the life of J Robert Oppenheimer, it has been adapted from American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J Sherwin. At the box office, 'Barbie' scored a huge opening of $337 million, while 'Oppenheimer' raked in $174.2 million globally.
