Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa played the Shang in the original film. Whereas, Scorpion is another classic character from the game, who is an undead ninja warrior seeking revenge from the person who killed him.
The project is based on the classic 1990s arcade game that centered around a massive roster of character fighters from different realms in a fictional universe battling for supremacy. The reboot is set to be helmed by first-time directed Simon McQuoid. Greg Russo penned the most recent draft. The film will hit the screens on March 5, 2021.
