Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson took to his
Instagram account to announce that he will be joining the DC Universe as Black Adam. In his post, he revealed that he will be featuring in a standalone movie of Black Adam which has been slated for December 2021 release.
In his long caption along the post, he expressed that he always dreamed to be Superman, however soon, he realised that he could never be Superman.
Dwayne stated that he was "too rebellious. Too rambunctious. Too resistant to convention and authority."
He further added, "I’m honored to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it’s a true pleasure to become, BLACK ADAM."
Talking about Black Adam's power, he wrote, "BLACK ADAM is blessed by magic with the powers equal to SUPERMAN, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line.
He’s a rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people - but he does it his way.
Truth and justice - the BLACK ADAM way."
