While in conversation with The Guardian, the actor talked about how, after the fame of ‘Fear the Walking Dead’, he went on a two-year hiatus after he returned to Berlin. He revealed that while the fame from the spin-off series was high, he had the chance to take “this role and that role.”While talking about his time on the show, he shared, “Nick was a junkie, and my work on the show was all about understanding him. Then I’d be asked all these questions that trivialized what I’d done. I was told to talk differently, dress differently, and attend media training.”

Now he is set to officially return to the big screen with Harris Dickinson’s directorial debut ‘Urchin.’ In the upcoming film, Dillane plays the role of Mike, a Londoner who has been living on the streets. During the interview, the actor revealed that “Early on, I grew facial hair for the film, but then I shaved it all off.
It spoilt the innocent effect when I looked like a cartel boss.”He talked about how challenging the role was, and that the scenes of him begging in the movies were shot on busy streets. He revealed that, “People ignore you when you approach them. It makes you feel like you’re not human.”'Urchin' is slated to release on October 3, 2025.
