Film Federation of India (FFI) has invited filmmakers to send in entries for selection of films for Oscar Awards in the category of "Best Foreign Language Film".

Film Federation of India (FFI) has invited filmmakers to send in entries for selection of films for Oscar Awards in the category of "Best Foreign Language Film".
The selection committee set up for this purpose will view the films entered for selection from 17th September, 2013. The selected film has to be submitted to the Academy not later than October 1, 2013.

The producers have been asked to send their entries either directly to FFI or through their respective associations taking into account the three conditions that the submitting film must be commercially released in India between October 1, 2012 and September 30, 2013; it must run at least for seven consecutive days and that the recording of the original dialogue track as well as the completed picture must be predominantly in a language or languages other than English. Films released on September 27 will also be considered for the selection.
