George Clooney slams false reports about rift with future mother-in-law

Amal Alamuddin's mother Baria has reportedly objected to her daughter's decision to wed George Clooney as he's not a Druze Muslim.
An insider close to Alamuddin's family said that one would think the human rights lawyer has hit the jackpot with Clooney, but Baria was not happy because Clooney was not a Druze Muslim, the sect that Alamuddin was born into in Lebanon, the Mirror reported.

However, Hollywood A-Lister Clooney took a stance against these baseless claims and according to his statements in USA TODAY, he responded to the Daily Mail report saying that these reports were fabricated. "The Daily Mail has printed a completely fabricated story about my fiancée's mother opposing our marriage for religious reasons. It says Amal's mother has been telling "half of Beirut" that she's against the wedding. It says they joke about traditions in the Druze religion that end up with the death of the bride," said Clooney.
Clooney has had a whirlwind romance with Amal Alamuddin who is of Lebanese origin and the two are set to marry soon.
