Keira Knightley's husband, James Righton, sparks divorce rumours after being spotted without his wedding ring
Keira Knightley, the Oscar-nominated actress best known for her roles in 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Atonement', is at the centre of divorce rumours after her husband James Righton was spotted without his wedding ring. The musician was recently photographed cycling around London with his fingers noticeably bare, adding further fuel to speculation that has been building since February.According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail on Monday, Righton sported a colourful plaid jacket and an "I don't work here" cap during the ride, his ring finger visibly empty.

What first sparked rumours around Keira Knightley and James Righton

Page Six reported that the speculation began in February when Knightley, 41, reportedly dropped her partner's surname from official documents related to her performing arts company, KCK Boo Ltd. Her name was reportedly updated to Keira Christina Knightley instead of Righton. The couple started dating in 2011 and married two years later in an intimate ceremony in France. They share two daughters, Edie, 10, and Delilah, 6. Earlier this month, the pair were seen putting on a united front during a family trip to Venice, Italy, with their children.

Keira Knightley on her marriage to James Righton

While Knightley has largely kept her relationship out of the spotlight, she made a rare and candid comment about her marriage to the Times in 2024. "We really annoy each other.
But, f–k, do we laugh," she said, joking that 11 years together "is good for an actress and a musician."She also admitted that collaborating professionally with Righton would be an "awful" idea. "He tries to get me to clap on things occasionally, and apparently I've got no timing, and we end up in a big row," she said.Knightley also spoke about her approach to balancing work and family. "I couldn't go job to job abroad now. It wouldn't be in any way fair to my kids, and I wouldn't want to. I've chosen to have children, I want to bring them up, so I've had to take a major step back," she said. She also confirmed she would not take part in a major franchise like 'Pirates of the Caribbean' again, citing the "insane" working hours.Meanwhile, neither Knightley nor Righton has officially addressed the divorce rumours, and the situation remains unconfirmed.
