Al Pacino has confessed that making movies is his greatest love.
The 71-year-old American actor received the Jaeger LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award at the Venice Film Festival, where his latest directorial effort ‘Wilde Salome’ was screened.
The ‘Scarface’ star also said that he had reached an impasse mid-way through his career when he was struggling to choose between theatre and film but once he started directing movies, he just fell in love with it.

“I was falling between the cracks and I wasn’t committing to one or the other,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.
“Once I started, the magic of movies came into my life. I fell in love with the idea of making a movie,” Pacino stated.
Despite receiving an award of appreciation, the humble director claims that he feels like an amateur at directing and knows that he is not a great director.
“I always feel like a dilettante making movies, because I know great directors and I’m not that,” he added.
