The film that is slated for a May 1 release in the US, is currently slated for an April 30 release in India.
Disney has so far announced delays in the release of several upcoming television shows but has not yet given an update about the ‘Black Widow’ film. That said, there is a lot riding on this flick as it is set to kick off a new era – Phase 4, of the MCU.
If the team does decide to move the release, it will join the list of other high-profile films including Daniel Craig’s James Bond film ‘No Time to Die’, ‘A Quiet Place II’ and ‘Fast & Furious 9’, which will now be released in 2021.
‘Black Widow’ will be Scarlett’s first stand-alone film as the famed assassin turned Avenger Natasha Romanoff, after featuring in various Marvel films for over 10 years. The film will follow her character as she sets out to shut down the Red Room and take on past nemesis. The film is reportedly set to post the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and before the events of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
