'This is NOT Goop approved': Gwyneth Paltrow stunned as Benny Blanco reveals Selena Gomez’s fast food diet

Selena Gomez’s eating habits became a talking point after Benny Blanco told Gwyneth Paltrow that his wife has the “diet of a 5-year-old” during a Goop podcast taping in West Hollywood on Tuesday. Blanco said Gomez starts some mornings with fast food, does not care much for fruits or vegetables, and often reaches for “whatever is bad for your diet,” leaving Paltrow visibly shocked.According to the Daily Mail, the 38-year-old record producer told Paltrow, 53, that Gomez had already eaten Jack in the Box early that day. “This morning I walked in and she was eating Jack in the Box at 6:45 in the morning,” Blanco said.He named “burgers and fries” as two of Gomez’s favorites. Paltrow gasped and replied, “This is NOT Goop approved!”Blanco then made it clear that Gomez, 33, still enjoys Paltrow’s healthier food brand. He said the 'Only Murders in the Building' star “eats the s–t out of” Goop Kitchen options. But he added that her usual taste leans toward “whatever is bad for your diet.”The music producer also said Gomez “doesn’t really like fruits or vegetables.”Paltrow has long drawn attention for her own food choices. She previously followed what she called a “hardcore macrobiotic” diet with “lots of fish, vegetables, rice, no dairy [and] no sugar.”By April 2025, the ‘Shakespeare In Love’ star said she was “getting back into eating sourdough bread, cheese [and] … a little pasta.”Gomez has been open about learning her way around the kitchen. She launched ‘Selena + Chef’ in 2020 after calling herself a “complete disaster” in the kitchen. The show paired her with professional chefs and ran for four seasons.In 2022, Gomez told People she still has her “moments,” but said she had “come a long way.” She rated her cooking skills a “five out of 10.”She later followed the series with ‘Selena + Restaurant’ in 2024. That same year, Gomez told ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ that Blanco cooks “very well.” She joked that she mostly “watch[ed] and encourage[d]” him when they hosted Thanksgiving together. Gomez and Blanco began dating in 2023, years after first working together on music. He proposed in December 2024 with a Taco Bell spread, and the couple married in September 2025.
