'Wednesday' actress Jenna Ortega recently opened up about her thoughts on the ongoing digital age. She called it "isolating" and even mentioned how times used to be better.

Jenna Ortega talks about the ‘isolating’ digital age and more

According to her BBC interview, the 22-year-old actress believes that the current age of digital and online advancements has made it much harder for people “to find a sense of self. In her words, rather than reaching out to the people around them, individuals are “interacting and finding their community online, which can be very isolating.”While detailing this matter, she also mentioned how this exposes people to a lot more opinions and voices than any one person would normally be exposed to. “So I think it’s harder to find a sense of self. Young people are struggling to find: ‘What makes my voice stand out? What is it about me in this world and this society today that gives me a sense of purpose or control or authority?” she added along.

What message does ‘Wednesday’ have for the people of this generation?

Ortega also went forth and shared that her spin-off show shows a space where people are allowed to be who they are and “place priority where it matters, and that’s your family, that’s who’s in front of you, your special interests, that’s your strength and your courage and your confidence in your voice.”She added that this is the kind of idea that people need to observe now, “now more than ever,” while also saying that sheep mentality has also managed to become extremely common in today’s day and age.
