Singer Janet Jackson has announced a new album and world tour for later this year.
The 49-year-old singer announced the news on Twitter after desperate fans called for a musical return, reported Digital Spy.

The "That's the Way Love Goes" singer said: "This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going."
Jackson was last active in 2011 with her Number Ones, Up Close and Personal world tour.
