Pop star Justin Timberlake's mug shot has taken the internet by storm following his arrest for driving while intoxicated (DWI) in Sag Harbor, New York.
The 43-year-old singer, currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, was detained in the early hours of Tuesday, June 18, after a night out with friends at the American Hotel. Timberlake was pulled over by police after running a stop sign and failing to stay in the correct traffic lane.
According to the arrest report, the officer noted Timberlake's bloodshot eyes, the strong smell of alcohol on his breath, slowed speech, unsteady movements, and poor performance on field sobriety tests.

Despite these signs, Timberlake claimed he had "one martini" and was following friends home.
Apparently, Justin was only charged with a “single count” of driving while intoxicated because he “refused the breath test.”

Justin‘s lawyer Ed Burke, Jr. told Us Weekly, “The charge was a single count because he refused the breath test. Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not travelling in the correct traffic lane.”
Page Six is claiming Justin did take a field sobriety test and the cop who pulled him over “was so young that he didn’t even know” who Justin was.
The arrest report reveals what Justin said to cops upon his arrest.

“I had one martini and I followed my friends home,” Justin told cops, according to People.
The officer who stopped Justin noted that the singer’s “eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”

Sag Harbor police said in a statement that a police officer pulled Timberlake over shortly after midnight after seeing him driving his BMW through a stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road.
"Upon investigation, it was determined that Mr Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition," police said, confirming earlier media reports.
"Mr Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment," police said.
The 10-time Grammy winner was released without bond later Tuesday morning after being arraigned in Sag Harbor.
Justin is expected to appear before the court for a hearing scheduled on July 26, the Suffolk County district attorney’s office said.
Timberlake has two upcoming shows in Chicago on Friday and Saturday, then is scheduled for New York's Madison Square Garden on June 25 and 26.
