Lil Nas X’s case to be dismissed if he follows treatment plans and abides by the law? Here's what we know
In a pivotal court session, rapper Lil Nas X might see his charges evaporate. The presiding judge remarked on the atypical nature of his actions during last year's public incident. Should he successfully adhere to a required mental health treatment plan, the charges related to assault and resisting arrest could be wiped clean.
Last year, rapper Lil Nas X was taken in by authorities after being found in a state of undress in public, and had also attacked a police officer. As per the latest update, all charges may soon be dropped against the musician if he complies with the law and completes the legally mandated treatment plan.

He cited that charges against Lil Nas X can soon be dismissed, as long as he attends the sessions and mental health treatment plans that have been created for him. It also appears the rapper has been doing much better since the recording last year. Hill had further requested a treatment plan, which the judge signed off on yesterday. After the hearing, Nas X had also said to the media house that “I'm thankful. Just very thankful. It could have been much worse.”During his arraignment for the case last year, he pleaded not guilty to four of the felony charges. If convicted, he would have faced around 5 years in prison.

What happened with Lil Nas X last year?

Montero was found in the middle of the night on Ventura Boulevard in a possibly inebriated state. He was found to be walking in the area wearing nothing but his innerwear and a pair of cowboy boots. He was taken in by authorities to the hospital on suspicion of a possible overdose and was charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest at the time. The rapper was also diagnosed later on with bipolar disorder and received treatment for the same. As per the report, his father had also issued a statement which read, “For a 26-year-old to have to deal with what he's dealing with - to be a breadwinner for a lot of people, the inability to change his mother's situation and the pressure he puts on himself.”
