Amit Kumar remembers dad Kishore Kumar

Late singer Kishore Kumar’s son, Amit Kumar, will pay tribute to his legendary father by performing at a charity show. Titled Amit Kumar Live In Concert, the gig is being held in Bandra on October 20 in aid of the Cancer Patients Aid Association(CPAA).Amit Kumar feels that as a musician, it’s his responsibility to work towards the welfare of society. “I am always ready to support social causes to make a difference in society. I am proud that the proceeds from my show will help cancer-afflicted women from the lower economic strata to complete their course of treatment and live life with dignity. I always try to give back where I can and music is a great platform to spread awareness and support social causes," says the singer, who will be performing his dad’s hit numbers like ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’, ‘Ye Zameen Gaa Rahi Hai’, ‘Yeh Bambai Shehar’, ‘O Mere Dil Ke Chain’, ‘O Hansini’, ‘Aane Waala Pal’, ‘Chukar Mere Mann Ko’ and ‘Kya Yahi Pyar Hai’, among others. The money raised from the show will go towards the treatment of women suffering from breast and cervical cancer.
