A poetry slam dedicated to poet Kalidasa in Aurangabad

To pay tribute to the poet Kalidasa, artistes of Aurangabad gather to mark his birthday. Organised by a city-based group Parivartan Sanstha, the show named ‘Meghdoot’ saw poets of the city presenting poems and writings that were written by Kalidasa. The event took place at Einstein Sabagruha of Aurangabad wherein various artists presented the poems in various languages and forms.Kusumgraaj presented the Marathi poem into musical form whereas Vishwanath Dashrath recited the poems. Pralhad Shelke presented songs that were accompanied by artist Sushravya on flute. A mahakavya poetry slam was the show stealer as all the poets came together to recite the poem in the form of conversation. After watching this, the audience were at awe with their performances and were mesmerised on the writings of the great poet Kalidasa. An amalgamation of poems and various art forms turned out to be great show on Sunday evening.
