Dumping ground gets a makeover with tree plantation drive
With environmental decline rapidly, plantation of trees is the need of the hour and to take the issue seriously, Aurangabadkars take to tree plantation drive at a dumping ground. Initially a dumping ground, a ground near Golwadi Phata at Aurangabad was a cleaned at first with the help of volunteers and then around two thousand saplings were planted there.

The group Jansahyog Pariwar initiated the drive wherein their volunteers worked hard to try making it a green haven. Some of the useful trees like Arjun, Behda, Bhokar, Khirni, Shami, Wild Badam, Mahagony etc. were planted at the drive. Trees of mangos, tamarind, and lemon were also some of the trees being planted at the barren ground. The volunteers also pledged to take care of these planted trees.
