A big birthday blast

Though Ramesh Dembla had prepared for his big day weeks in advance ��� replete with a fashion show ��� it did���t quite work out like how he wanted it to.
On his birthday, Ramesh showcased some of his collections, but the terror attacks in Mumbai had led to the cancellation of his showstoppers, Riya Sen, Sammir Dattani, Shaurya Chauhan, Smiley Suri and Sophie Chowdhry.Which is why the event kicked off with a silent prayer. And it was Bengaluru���s own models who rocked the ramp that evening in some sizzling numbers, including actress Sharmila Mandre and starlet Sanjana.
Jackie, Pashmeena, Aryan Vaid showed off their veteran catwalk moves. We spotted Nafees Fazal, who had just dropped in for a bit, ���and only to wish Ramesh because I���m upset about the terror attacks,��� she told us. Vyjayanthi was there too ��� she flew down from Colombo ��� with her hubby, and walked the ramp, like the good old days. Others at the do were Sheetal, Harish Wadhwa, Sangeetha and Sania, Pavithra Halkatti, Zubair Anitha Kholay and Ranjot Narang among others.
