On Friday, India’s space agency
ISRO launched
Chandrayaan 3 from Sriharikota. 16 minutes later, it was announced that the LMV3 rocket which was carrying the lander had entered the Earth’s orbit.
It is expected to land on the moon on August 23, and if the mission succeeds, then it will make India the fourth country to have a controlled lunar landing, after the United States, the former Soviet Union and China.
