It was a weekend of paws and purrs in Bengaluru, as the latest edition of PetFed festival unfolded at the Jayamahal Palace grounds. More than 3,500 people made a beeline to the carnival along with their fluffy, four-legged buddies. Bustling with various fun activities and stalls selling quirky merchandise for pets, the fest turned out be a fun day-out for the dogs and cats of different breeds, as well as their parents.

The police dog show was among the highlights of the event, which was attended by ACP Ningareddy Patil, who had closely worked with the dog squad when he was an inspector. The show featured demonstrations on how police dogs are trained and how they go about doing their jobs.
Akshay Gupta, founder of PetFed, says, “This is the second edition of the fest in Bengaluru, and we’re glad to see the kind of response we have received.”
The mascot of the event this year was Simmba, a Persian cat. Last year’s mascot was a golden retriever, also known as Simmba.
