Bundeli jasgeet and Gujarati folk in the city

Under the Uttradhikar series of Tribal Museum, Bundeli folksongs and Gujarati folk dances were organised. Artiste Shilpi Parihar and her troupe presented Bundeli folk songs for the audience at the venue. The folk type which is known as

jasgeet

in the region had a perky tune which instantly clicked with all assembled. Besides devotional songs, the artistes also sang about locals lives.

This was followed by Gujarati folk dances performed by Sewak Basawada from Ahmedabad. They kickstarted their series of performances with 'Maniyaro Raas' followed by 'Dhaal-Talwar' which was a kind of martial art dance form. They finished off with Mishra Raas and
