Under the direction of Parvez Khan, play Kahilon Ka Jamat was staged at the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum as a part of their weekly series ‘Abhinayan’. Through the play, the director portrays how two writers who used to receive mockery until a few days, become the most qualified writers. Abid and Adil are two writers who are quite famous in the city but still receive mockery.
The duo meet at Chacha’s tea shop every day and address themselves as ‘Budding writers’. Chacha at the tea stall advises them to form a ‘Jamaat’, and they lay the foundation of ‘Kahilon ka Jamaat’. Writer
Abdul Haq has comically written the play, which entertains the audience and leaves them with a realization that the writers they suspect to be useless become the most qualified.
