Basant Panchami celebrated

A Mohali based Institute of Management & Technology celebrated Basant Panchami by organizing Kite Flying Competition, Giddha, Bhangra, Rangoli and other cultural activities were also organized at the moment. More than 100 students participated in this competition. All teams of students participated in competition with zeal & energy. The students and staff enjoyed the cultural activities .J S Bedi explained the importance of the Basant Panchmi to the students .He told that kite flying is related to our culture ,Earlier people enjoyed this festival while flying kites and welcoming the Basant ritu(season) but nowadays trend have changed so far .children are forgetting their culture and tradition and to make them aware about their culture and tradition such kinds of events are very important. He further added that Basant Panchami marks the end of the winter season yellow colour has its own importance in nature too i.e. mustered fields, bright sun, ripen crop.
