Foundation day celebrated
The Chandigarh commission for protection of child rights, on Thursday, celebrated its fifth
foundation day
. The event was held at the auditorium of Sector 43 Judicial Complex which saw a national consultation for chairpersons and members being organized. The members of commissions of Union Territories also had a discussion on the topic of ‘child friendly cities’, a first-of-its-own kind concept in the country. During the function several initiatives/steps being taken by the commission, education department, schools, civil society were highlighted.
