FTII experts give tips on filmmaking to PU students
Budding filmmakers from Department of English and Cultural Studies of Panjab University learnt finer nuances of the art during the five-day film appreciation course being held in collaboration with Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, on the campus.
While many film enthusiasts attended the programme, the sessions covered everything from technicality of the subject to outlining the evolution of camera.

The participants were engaged in the session which saw various personal and professional anecdotes being narrated by two instructors— Pankaj Saxena and Munish Bhardwaj. While most of the sessions were interactive in nature, what kept the excitement levels high was deep discussion of several iconic films. Also, the films of Charlie Chaplin, DG Phalke and George Méliѐs, Edwin Porter were screened along with clips drawn from silent era films.
