Promoting women’s safety
The UT
police
are continuing with their mission to give safety lessons to girls. Recently, the event took place at MCMDAV college-36 which saw about 550 girls giving mass demonstration of the self-defence techniques which they picked up during the training imparted bySwayam
team of the Chandigarh police. The purpose of the training was to equip young girls with the basicself defence
skills through which they can come out any unwarranted situation that life can put them in. Several senior cops were also present on the occasion, while VP Singh Badnore,Governor
of Punjab who is also an administrator of UT was the chief guest.end of article
