Pyarelal Wadali passes away, singers mourn demise
With the younger of the Punjabi

Pyarelal

Wadali passing away early on Friday morning at Amritsar, the inseparable singers' jodi of

Wadali brothers

has broken. Pyarelal, 75 died of a cardiac arrest in his hometown, leaving behind a large community of grieving fans. Pyarelal was the one who earned the family's income in their earlier days when elder brother Puran Chand was busy wrestling in akharas. Once into singing, though Puran Chand was trained by a professional guru, Pyarelal learnt from his brother, who remained his guru. The Wadali's journey as

singers

began unexpectedly in 1975 when the brothers had gone to Jalandhar to perform at the Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan but were not allowed to sing because of their shabby appearance. To overcome their disappointment, they decided to make a musical offering at the Harballabh temple, and were spotted by an executive of All India Radio, who recorded their first song. Among their Bollywood songs, famous are, Ye Rangrez Mere from Tanu Weds Manu and Ik Tu Hi Tu Hi from Mausam.

This is how singers and actors from Bollywood expressed themselves on online platforms:
