These girls are fearless

As many 60 girls took part in a self-defense training demonstration, organized by the UT police on Saturday. The event took place at Sector 11 police station in which the participants, who had undergone a two-month training recently, showed various skills they picked up during the course. The girls are being trained by Swayam Team of the Chandigarh police.While the girls are equipped and prepared to tackle crisis situations including snatching, eve teasing etc, the SSP Nilambari Jagdale boosted their morale. She talked about elaborate training sessions which goes on to instill confidence among the girls. Soon after the demonstration, the girl participants were given certificates. Also, to promote road safety, as many 60 helmets were distributed among two wheeler riders in collaboration with an NGO.
