A Bug’s life

Theme party by Blaft to launch their new book
A Bug’s life
A beautiful, refurbished Madras Terrance House was home to many creatures with wings recently. Cut-outs of insects hanging from the ceiling (some life-size ones sitting around the room, looking very intellectual!), bug-eyes, hair bands with antennae, and wings.
That was the feel of this fun theme party by Blaft to launch their new book. Seen enjoying the drinks and snacks that also resembled fun bugs, were Renuka Rajarathnam, reviewer Vasanthi Sankaranarayanan, writer Charu Nivedita, Muai actor Jaimini Pathak, theatre activist/translator Pritham Chakravarthy, and many other pulp fiction fans.

The fun party music got everyone up and shaking a leg or two, and even had writer Kuzhali Manickavel singing along, really well one must add! What an interesting concept. Ive never thought of insects to be this fun! Just some of the things we overheaRd people tell each other at the evening, where no one was offended to get flies and beetles as souvenirs!
