Chennaiites in a knotty affair!

Almost every girl imagines her dream wedding a million times over in her head. And there is no denying that there is a certain magical quality about this union.
However, while the idea of the elaborate wedding, replete with ceremonies and celebrations, might be the stuff dreams are made off, on paper, in reality, in all practicality, it can be quite a tedious task.And in most cases, more than the girl in question, it is their parents and close relatives who face the gargantuan task of planning the wedding and making sure it happens just as the girl dreams it.
And this recent event in the city was held to address just this issue. Held in a popular star hotel, the do was spearheaded and ‘wo’manned by renowned wedding planner Vidya Singh and Rekha Rangaraj. Having organized several fund raisers, fashion shows, corporate launches and celebrity talk shows and facilitated weddings for Indians living abroad and in Chennai, these lovely ladies were the perfect choice for the occasion. And given the topic of discussion, a number of socialites and high-fliers from the city turned up to take part in the proceedings and take home tidbits of helpful information. Among those spotted were the ever-pleasant Dr Kamala Selvaraj, Manju Agarwal, Sneha Nair, Seema and Sangeetha, who all seemed engrossed in the discussion. However, all talk did not centre on weddings. There were discussions on hosting theme parties too. And needless to say, Chennai’s ladies took home more than just a tip or two on how to host the perfect party!
